ACT sections are already a clock: 35, 50, 40, and optional Science at 40. A live "we study ACT tonight" event adds a fifth clock. Async removes it. Five questions, then they take the same round later. Scores meet when both are done.
The next ACT dates after this update are September 19, 2026 (late to start a new habit), October 17, 2026, and December 12, 2026. Two people who trade rounds until October 17 will beat two people who planned one heroic Saturday and cancelled it. On the Enhanced ACT, Science is optional and is not in the composite. English is 50 questions in 35 minutes, Math is 45 questions in 50 minutes with four choices, Reading is 36 questions in 40 minutes, and Science, if you take it, is 40 questions in 40 minutes.

Under Settings the practice timer is standard, extended (+50%), double (+100%), or off. That is practice, not an exam right. Duels keep standard timing so a match stays fair. Your off setting in solo practice does not follow you into a duel. If the countdown stresses you, turn it off on ordinary quizzes. Leave the match standard. The bank is 25,000+ questions on iPhone, Android, and the web with the same account. Free accounts get three quizzes a day, five questions each. Ace at $19/mo removes the cap.
The accommodations deadline for the October 17, 2026 ACT is September 11, 2026, per ACT accommodations. A duel cannot grant extra time. A school official files TAA. You still take your three solo quizzes on days they ghost you. Start a quiz without them. Register at register so the round has a name. Broader ACT practice is ACT prep.
