The Larry Learns app
SAT and ACT prep that fits in the ten minutes you actually have
Larry Learns is a free SAT and ACT prep app for iPhone and Android. It has 25,000+practice questions covering every scored section of both tests, and after each answer it explains the reasoning rather than just marking you right or wrong. Three quizzes and three explanations a day are free, with no card required. It is the same account you use on the website, so your stats and streaks follow you between your phone and your laptop.
Prefer your browser? Practice on the web instead — same questions, same account.
What you get in the app
The app is not a trimmed-down companion to the website. It is the whole thing, shaped for a phone.
An explanation after every answer
Answer a question and Larry walks through the reasoning step by step, not just the letter that was correct. Free accounts get three explanations a day; Ace removes the cap.
Stats that show where you actually lose points
Progress is tracked per section and per topic over time, so you can see whether it is geometry or grammar costing you points instead of guessing.
Friends, rivals, and leaderboards
Add friends, compare head-to-head, and climb the weekly boards. Practice you keep coming back to beats a study plan you abandon in week two.
Practice built for short sessions
Quizzes are sized for the ten minutes you actually have — on the bus, between classes — rather than the two-hour block you keep postponing.
Every scored section, both tests
Practice one test or switch between them. Nothing is locked behind a separate download.

Questions about the app
Is the Larry Learns app free?
Yes. You can download it and start practicing without paying or entering a card. A free account includes three quizzes and three step-by-step explanations per day. Ace, the paid plan, is $19 per month and removes both daily limits.
Is Larry Learns available on Android?
Yes. Larry Learns is on Google Play for Android phones and tablets, and on the App Store for iPhone. Both apps are free to download and use the same account.
Does the app cover the ACT as well as the SAT?
Both. The app covers the two scored sections of the digital SAT (Math, Reading & Writing) and all four scored sections of the ACT (English, Math, Reading, Science). You can practice one test or switch between them.
Do my scores sync between the app and the website?
Yes. It is one account across web, iPhone, and Android. Your questions answered, stats, streaks, and leaderboard position follow you between devices, so you can practice on your phone and review on a laptop.
Do I have to download the app to use Larry Learns?
No. Everything in the app also runs in the browser at larrylearns.com. The app exists because most practice happens on a phone, not because the web version is limited.
How many practice questions does the app have?
25,000+ practice questions across the SAT and ACT, spread over every scored section of both tests.
Start with one quiz
Download it free, answer ten questions, and see where you stand. That is the whole commitment.
