ACT Prep in Short Sessions: Five Questions a Day
You do not need a two-hour evening. A Larry Learns ACT session is five questions. Three a day is the free cap, and that dose survives a real week. Not Pomodoro.

Short answer: do ACT prep in short sessions. In Larry Learns a session is five questions. Three of those a day is the free cap. That is the shape that survives a normal week. This is not Pomodoro. Twenty-five minute blocks are a different method.
The SAT sibling is SAT prep in short sessions. On the Enhanced ACT, Science is optional and is not in the composite. English is 50 questions in 35 minutes, Math is 45 questions in 50 minutes with four choices, Reading is 36 questions in 40 minutes, and Science, if you take it, is 40 questions in 40 minutes. A five-question pass is not a miniature Enhanced ACT. It is the dose that keeps you in motion until you sit a real section.

English 50 in 35 looks like it needs an empty night. It needs reps more than it needs an empty night. Five questions on the bus beat a cancelled two-hour plan. The next ACT dates after this update are September 19, 2026 (late to start a new habit), October 17, 2026, and December 12, 2026. September 19 is late to start. October 17 and December 12 still reward a dose that actually happens.
The bank is 25,000+ questions on iPhone, Android, and the web with the same account. Free accounts get three quizzes a day, five questions each. Ace at $19/mo removes the cap. The cap is a dose, not a punishment. When you hit three days in a row and want a fourth, Ace at $19/mo is the extra pass.

The last row matters. Short sessions build the habit. They do not replace the feel of a full English or Math section. Official tests stay on ACT.org.
Under Settings the practice timer is standard, extended (+50%), double (+100%), or off. That is practice, not an exam right. Duels keep standard timing so a match stays fair. The accommodations deadline for the October 17, 2026 ACT is September 11, 2026, per ACT accommodations. Extra time, if you need it, is still TAA. Short sessions are the warm-up, not the accommodation.

When Short Sessions Are the Wrong Tool
Reading passages can make five questions last longer than five minutes. Close when the passage is done. Science, if you sit it, needs chart time. Do not fake a Science section as three pocket quizzes the week of the test. Put one real section on the weekend.
This page does not rank Pomodoro. If you already work in 25-minute blocks, use them for the weekend official section. Use five-question quizzes on weekdays.
The usual death is waiting until you have a "real" ACT night. That night does not arrive. Three pocket passes do. If a friend is the only reason you open the app, send a round after the third quiz, not instead of it. If the cap feels small three days in a row, that is the Ace conversation, not a reason to skip tomorrow.
Next Step
Five questions. Close. That is the instruction.
Frequently Asked Questions About Short ACT Sessions
Is 5 minutes a day enough for the ACT?
Enough for the habit. Not enough as the only prep. Add one official section a week before October 17 or December 12.
Is this Pomodoro?
No. Five questions, then close. Twenty-five minute blocks are a different method.
How many questions is a session?
Five. Free accounts get three sessions a day. That is about 15 questions, not a full Enhanced ACT.
What if I miss a day?
Five questions the next day. Do not wait for next week.
Phone or laptop?
Phone for the dose. Laptop for an official section. Same account.
